About This Experience
Hidden Trails is an adventure that combines the famous Laugavegur Trail along with the hidden gems of Iceland. A hiking trip with accommodation in mountain huts, of approximately 130km long in which we will discover geothermal areas, secret valleys, endless lakes and lava fields that challenge our imagination. Join a small group with one of our specialized guides to discover the most remotes areas of Iceland & the unknown trails hidden for the regular tourists, face your inner nature & defy the elements in this incredible adventure. During most of the tour we will be completely alone in forgotten places and away from the common & crowded hiking routes, to finally join the last and most beautiful stages of the Laugavegur Hiking Trail, until we reach Thórsmörk (the valley of the God of thunder).

Not Included
- International flights.
- Transfers from/to the airport.
- Accommodation in Reykjavík.
- Any meals in Reykjavík and 1st dinner with the group in the accommodation.
- Showers on the mountain huts.
- Lockers in Reykjavík in case of leaving the remain luggage that is not going to be used during the trip.
- Sleeping bag & personal mountain gear.
- Luggage transportation during the hiking stages.
- Trip insurance.
- Everything not specified in “What’s Included”.
Important Information
Please note that you will be joining a very challenging hiking trip
and for fully enjoying it you should be able to:
Being able to hike over 700m (2300 ft) of elevation gain.
Being able to carry your own backpack for 10 days.
Due to the weather is highly recommended to bring good waterproof mountain gear.
Know Before You Go
The traveler will be informed at the time of contracting the trip of all the necessary hiking gear to bring*. If the traveler does not have the necessary material, the guide may limit his/her participation in daily activities, or even in the trip. *Please check the “Recommended hiking gear” document. It is not necessary for the traveler to bring any kind of extra technical mountain gear. Although the guide has a first-aid kit, each traveler must carry what they consider necessary depending on personal pathologies, needs, risks, etc. that it will be necessary to communicate to AMAROK ADVENTURES at the time of booking the trip.
